I get most people don't understand nuance in business, and I do have a pretty unique situation. Hopefully the brand can rebuild the trust with its customers and move on and stay afloat. Hope they can regain the public’s trust and will build themselves up to a great company again that sells amazingly spec’s bikes for incredible prices. I don’t ride hard enough to snap frames, I wanted the new decoy, I was on a budget since my wife starts nurse practitioner school in January.Hope I have a good one ☝️ @ytindustries – How is the American consumer supposed to trust YT with their dollars on new technology when we are still grappling with failing Decoys and very limited support? First you kept YT's press release up stating "everything is business as usual" despite hundreds of comments of people who paid money and got a sorry-we-cant-help-you email from YT, and now you're running a front page promotional review??

This isn’t everyday drama for Apple or HP or thousands of other brands who manage to stay in business long enough to provide adequate customer support. YOU are the reason companies go out of business and why those who don't, sell their BICYCLES for$15K. I do think there is to many brands.. You seem very bitter towards a brand that mostly provided great bikes at very reasonable prices. Goodbye to bad rubbish, Long live the brands that are for riders, by riders.

If they would just switch the lights off then it’s gone for sure. But the fact that YT keeps going and are doing all they can should give everyone that’s waiting on a bike after paying for it hope that they will actually get it. I understand the negativity – partly. The bosch is an awesome motor, this will be a good bike but I'm glad I bought a Transition Regulator as YT suck on so many levels. I planned to sell it ages ago but feel like it's value is now much less. Bye bye YT, any consumers that are the slightest bit informed on this situation will never purchase anything from them again. I for one hope YT pulls through. (just waiting for some richer people in SoCal to buy the core 1 but then upgrade the fork… and then sell me that beautiful white Bomber)

Is it called a decoy because if you buy it, it doesn't really exist? It just wouldn't make sense to make a comment like that. 1000 customers is still what, minimum 5-6 million(!) dollars they basically grifted. So maybe the shade lies in the laws and regulations of the country that allows businesses to do this? And then there's the reputation with the customers. Let's not kid ourselves here, the management at old YT apparently made some rather questionable decisions in regards to their business model before PE got involved. Owner sells company to a private equity. The employees in eu have been strung along and if they do rejoin they won’t have a lot of energy to put into the business. Now he's in for another juice squeeze while there are still some riders that are loyal to the brand and feel "part of a family". Markus also waited and declined brand buy-back offers so that more staff would get terminated, reducing his liabilities when he buys back the brand. You should really see through this stunt (unless this is actually Markus who posted the comment). Bankruptcy protection is great for encouraging innovation Powerfish Pokies and taking chances, but sometimes I wish they would tell owners like Markus, nah, you don't get another chance.

How were they supposed to build up engineering, design, marketing, logistics, etc. which make up a bike company? All we wanted was to run our own business. We took care of so many customers the best we could. Most of us have been there for 5 plus years and made North America over 50 % of YTs business. We had an entire organization of employees based in the US that were ready to keep this brand alive. Pure speculation on my part here, but it feels like Markus got a big pay out previously and was hoping to get one again this time around, which in current conditions, isn't happening.
